FITTING MSD PANELS Outline the measurement of the panels on surfaces to coat, in order to define their distribution and placing. Then transfer those measurements to the panels. Use a radial saw with a diamond disk in order to cut the panels (recommended) or a jig saw (useful for making the holes for plug sockets, etc.). Make the most of cut pieces in order to complete other areas. Fasten the panels to the support using appropriate screws. You can also fasten the panels to strips. When assembling on plasterboard, for greater assembly security, it is recommendable to fasten to the panels to profiles...

Leave a suitable separation gap for the model between the panels. For that purpose use the size of the joints between bricks, stones, boards, etc. as a guide. If there are no joints in the design, try to leave a separation of about 2mm. Make the joints coincide with the panels that have already been fitted. In order to create corners, fasten the panel level with the corner on both sides. Mix the mastic and the catalyst in the following ratio: 20 ml of catalyst per each kg of mastic. Prepare the quantity that you will use in 15 minutes in order to prevent it from hardening before you finish applying...

With the mastic still fresh, it is time to conceal the joints. Use a brush drained in acetone in order to add texture, imitating that of the panel. Pierce, with light touches, and stretch with the brush until the filler applied has been completely concealed. Use your imagination! A comb or some binded wire can be used to imitate the grain of wood, a brush can be used to give a “pierced” look to the joint... Retouch with a sponge or cloth until you obtain the desired texture. Allow the mixture applied to dry for 24 hours. Once the mastic has dried, apply the corresponding retouch paint with a brush...
