Product catalog summary
Overview and Operation
The KS series under-chair diffusers are designed for air diffusion in spaces such as cinemas, theatres, and auditoriums. They address both technical and architectural challenges by creating a microclimate around seating areas. Benefits include low plant cost, maximum comfort, energy savings, minimal noise, and low residual velocity. Two models are available: KS-A with chair support and KS-B without.
Technical Characteristics
The diffusers are made from epoxy powder-coated steel and can be installed with any chair type. They feature adjustable fins and a Venturi cone for efficient air mixing. The primary air temperature is set at 16.5°C, while the ambient air temperature is 22.8°C.
Floor Diffusers TE-KP Series
The TE-KP series is suitable for environments requiring optimal temperature and acoustic comfort. They feature a helicoidal motion for airflow, supporting rings for installation, and optional components like a regulation shutter and dust collection basket. These diffusers can be installed on supported or concrete floors.
Performance and Installation
Diagrams illustrate air velocity, temperature reduction, pressure drop, and sound power for different diffuser models. The TE-KP series offers rapid temperature equalization and low noise levels. Installation involves supporting rings and optional plenums for raised floors.
Staircase Swirl Diffusers KSP Series
The KSP series includes models with different finned surfaces for horizontal air throw. They are coated with epoxy powder and can be installed with subframes or spigots. Performance data is provided for sound power and pressure drop, measured according to international standards.
Specifications: The KSP series includes circular and squared diffusers with circular finned surfaces. They adhere to ISO 5219:1984 standards for aerodynamic testing and ISO 3741:1999 and ISO 5135:1997 for acoustic measurements.
Performance: The diffusers are evaluated for sound power and pressure drop, with data indicating performance in isothermal conditions. Installation environment attenuation is not considered in the data, typically ranging from 6 to 10 dBA.
Ordering Information: Options include circular or squared diffusers with various fixing methods. The current production size is 180.
Pedestrian Floor Grille UP Series
Overview: The UP series grilles are designed for air supply and extraction, suitable for environments like computer rooms and public spaces. They offer excellent temperature uniformity and are classified under the "light" mechanical resistance class according to EN 13264.
Installation: Grilles are easy to install and maintain, available in fixed or adjustable heights, and made from anodized aluminum and carbon steel.
Available Models and Sizes: Models include simple grilles, adjustable grilles, and grilles with frames. Sizes range from 200x100mm to 1200x600mm.
Technical Data: The UP0 series is for vertical throw, while the UP1 series is for a 15° inclined throw. Both series are tested under ISO standards for aeraulic and acoustic performance.
Accessories: Include regulation dampers and dust collection baskets, enhancing functionality and maintenance.

UNDER-CHAIR DIFFUSERS OVERVIEW The KS under-chair diffuser was developed to meet the need for diffusing air in places such as cinemas, theatres, and auditoriums. These locations are subject to very strict specifications that make air-conditioning and ventilation of these spaces problematic, from both a strictly technical and an architectural point fo view. Using KS diffusers fully solves this type of problem simply and efficiently. In practice, the KS series diffusers use air coming from an air-conditioning system, diffusing it at the base of the chair, generating a microclimate in the immediate vicinity. Advantages offered by KS diffusers - Low plant cost - Maximum comfort around the people - Maximum energy savings, as the entire room does not have to be air-conditioned due to the micro-climate created - Minimum noise emissions - Low residual velocity - Limited temperature gradient Models available: - KS-A : Model complete with chair support and a Venturi cone, fan and upper equaliser grid. - S-B : Model complete with Venturi cone, fan and equaliser grid at the top. OPERATION The primary air is introduced at the base of the cylinder (1), via a diffuser with adjustable fins (3). These cause the air to change direction and force it towards the holes in the sides of the cylinder. This airflow creates a low pressure area in the centre of the diffuser, where there is an inverted cone (2) that draws in ambient air and mixes it with the primary air. This creates a mixed flow that is introduced into the room via the holes in the sides of the cylinder (1), thereby creating a low temperature gradient. 4

UNDER-CHAIR DIFFUSERS TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS CONSTRUCTION Perforated conical cylinder, with support for a chair, diffuser with fins adjustable in height and collar for fixing to the floor, all in RAL 9005 epoxy powder coated steel. INSTALLATION The KS series of diffusers can be installed with any type of chair. It can be used to support the chair, or more simply positioned on the floor under the chair, thereby not limiting the designer's choice of chair. EXPERIMENTAL FINDINGS The induced airflow conveys the air coming into the opening immediately below the chair (at the intake into the Venturi...

FLOOR DIFFUSERS OVERVIEW Overview: The TE-KP series floor diffusers belong to the under-chair diffuser category; ideal for places where the best comfort levels are desired both in temperature and acoustics. Cinemas, theatres and conference halls are some examples. The internal drum has a helicoidal motion for the flow of air to the outside, improving circulation and allowing excellent results with a temperature difference no bigger than 6°C between the air received and the room temperature, both when heating and cooling. The TE-KP series diffusers are equipped with a supporting ring (two versions...

FLOOR DIFFUSERS PERFORMANCES TE-KP SERIES Distance from centre of diffuser m Air Velocity By means of the cross flow of the air streams on the floor, the speed of the air itself reduces rapidly moving away from the centre of the diffuser. The maximum speed is reached at a high equal to 50mm. Diagram 1 shows, in relation to the load, the distance to which the speed of the air at a height of 50mm reaches the value of 0,2m/s with an initial difference of temperature of 3°K. Diagram 2 shows, in relation to the load, the speed of the air at 450mm from the diffuser from height from the floor of 50mm...
