EST™ D Paper

EST™ D Paper

EST™ D Paper

Product catalog summary
Product Description
EST D Paper is a specialized product designed for pack level protection in lithium-ion battery packs. It is manufactured using Superwool® bulk fibres and organic binders, with a surface treatment on one side to suppress dust within the pack. The Superwool fibres offer stability and resistance to most chemical attacks, except for hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, and strong alkalis. The material is resilient to oil or water spills, with properties restored upon drying.
Benefits
  • Complies with UL94 V-0 requirements
  • Features a dust suppressant coating
  • Exhibits low thermal conductivity
  • Can be easily cut to shape
Applications
Primarily used for pack level protection of lithium-ion batteries.
Environmental & Health Safety
Superwool fibres are low biopersistent and not classified as carcinogenic by IARC or any national regulations globally. They do not require warning labels under the GHS. In Europe, they meet the requirements of European Regulation EC/1272/2008, exempting them from hazardous classification and labelling.

EST™ D Paper-1

EST™ D Paper Product Data Sheet Product Description EST D Paper is surface treated on one side and developed for pack level protection in lithium ion battery packs. EST D Paper is uniquely manufactured from Superwool® bulk fibres and organic binders. The coating to the EST D Paper allows for dust suppression into the pack. Superwool fibres provide stability and resistance to chemical attack. Exceptions include hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid and strong alkalis (i.e. NaOH, KOH). Superwool is unaffected by incidental spills of oil or water. Thermal and physical properties are restored after drying. Dust suppressant coating Pack level protection of Lithium Ion batteries Environmental & Health Safety Superwool low biopersistent fibres manufactured by Morgan Advanced Materials are not classified as carcinogenic by IARC or under any national regulations on a global basis. They have no requirements for warning labels under GHS (Globally Harmonised System for the classification and labelling of chemicals). In Europe, Superwool fibres meet the requirements specified under Note Q of European Regulation EC/1272/2008 (on Classification, Labelling and Packaging of substances and mixtures). All Morgan Advanced Materials Superwool low biopersistent fibre products are therefore exonerated from classification and labelling as hazardous in Europe.
