Effective placement of walk-off tiles can reduce soil and moisture entry by up to 91%, lowering maintenance costs and extending the life of floor coverings. Mohawk recommends six footfalls in each walk-off area to achieve optimal performance.
Performance Innovations
Tuff Stuff II is engineered to protect facilities from excess dirt and moisture while providing a non-slip surface. Key features include a Class I fire rating, heavy 'scraper' yarns for soil removal, and the ability to hold up to 5.6 lbs of sand and absorb up to 7.3 lbs of moisture per square yard. The carpet tiles are easy to clean and maintain.
Duracolor Fiber System
Duracolor fiber is stain-free, sustainable, and available in over 300 colors. It resists 99% of stains, passes AATCC Test Method 175, and is made with 30% recycled content. The fiber is Declare Red List Free and recyclable through Mohawk's ReCover Program.
Installation Instructions
Mohawk Group warrants its adhesives for the life of the original installation when using Mohawk products. Proper floor preparation is essential. Chair pads are recommended under office chairs to preserve appearance and prevent wear. Walk-off tiles are recommended at entryways to reduce soiling.
