The Terra Collection offers versatile commercial flooring solutions featuring various installation patterns and color options. It includes carpet tiles and luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) designed for durability, aesthetic appeal, and sustainability.

Mass Appeal Collection

This luxury vinyl tile (LVT) collection features 18"x36" planks with modern textures inspired by oxidized metal and natural linen. Two main patterns are available:

• Metal: Inspired by natural metal oxidation, available in 12 colors.
• Matter: Inspired by linen striations, available in 6 neutral colors.

Key Specifications and Features:

• Floating LVT with 20 mil wear layer and 0.20" (5mm) thickness for heavy commercial traffic durability.
• M-Force™ Ceramic Enhanced Urethane finish for extended product life.
• Twice as thick as conventional LVT, providing weight to keep tiles in place.
• Built-in acoustical layer reduces sound without underlayment.
• Non-skid backing minimizes post-installation movement.
• Quick installation with perimeter glue only.
• Quick ship availability.
• Limited 10-year commercial warranty.
• Contains minimum 8% bio-based renewable content and uses a bio-based plasticizer free of harmful phthalates.

Color Range

The collection offers a broad palette of colors, including vibrant shades like Lemon Zest (#121), Electric Orange (#252), and Passion Purple (#483), as well as neutrals such as Eggshell (#717), Latte (#833), and Graphite (#964). Solid loop textured tiles are available in 48 colors, with select colors offered as 12x36 planks for borders, insets, or accents.

Backing Systems

Two premium carpet tile backing systems are highlighted:

• EcoFlex™ ICT: Contains minimum 35% recycled content, features a five-layer dense cushion backing, moisture barrier properties, superior tuft bind, and is CRI Green Label Plus certified. It supports LEED credits and is recyclable through Mohawk’s ReCover program.
• EcoFlex™ NXT AIR: Offers enhanced sound reduction (Noise Reduction Coefficient 0.30) and comfort with 50% recycled content (pre- and post-consumer). It provides thermal resistance, reduces injury risk, and is NSF/ANSI 140 Platinum certified. Requires minimum 500 sq. yd. order with 10% overage.

Installation and Warranty

Installation methods include monolithic, half-lap, brick ashlar, basket weave, plank half-lap, monolithic stepping, random, and herringbone patterns. Mohawk Industries provides lifetime limited warranties on carpet tiles covering colorfastness, stain resistance, and static control. Adhesives must be Mohawk-approved and installation must follow Mohawk’s floor preparation procedures to maintain warranty validity.

Product Lines and Specifications

Three main carpet tile styles are detailed:

• Raso Terra (MD017): Tufted, textured patterned loop, 1/12" gauge, Colorstrand® SD Nylon fiber, EcoFlex ICT backing, 12"x36" size, multiple installation patterns, ASTM E648 Class 1 flammability.
• Sotto Terra (MD018): Tufted, textured patterned loop, 1/12" gauge, Colorstrand® SD Nylon fiber, EcoFlex ICT backing, 24"x24" size, quarter turn and ashlar installation options, ASTM E648 Class 1 flammability.
• Sole Terra (MD019): Tufted, textured patterned loop, 1/12" gauge, Colorstrand® SD Nylon fiber, EcoFlex ICT backing, 12"x36" size, multiple installation patterns, ASTM E648 Class 1 flammability.

All styles feature Sentry Plus Stain Protection, Sentry Soil Protection, Green Label Plus Indoor Air Quality certification, and NSF 140 Gold sustainability certification.

Additional Recommendations and Notes

• Chair pads are recommended under office chairs with roller casters to preserve appearance and prevent premature wear.
• Walk-off tiles from the Moving Along Collection are recommended at entryways to reduce soiling.
• Patterned tiles may exhibit inherent characteristics such as pattern run-off or seam variations; these are not defects but should be considered during installation.
• Color variations may occur due to dye lot differences or material substitutions for improved technology or supply reasons without affecting performance.
