The Element seating, designed by Boris Klimek, is a modular acoustic seating solution intended for open public spaces. Its design allows for a wide range of applications beyond public spaces, making it a versatile tool for architects. The seating can be customized in terms of material, dimensions, and function. It features separate upholstered parts that can be stacked or adjusted in height, allowing for both acoustically and visually closed configurations or more open, airy forms. Additional components such as tables, footstools, and hangers can complement the sofa.
Specifications
The Element seating is constructed with a wooden frame and a base that can be either metal or wood. The legs are also available in metal or wood. The springing system uses rubber-textile straps, and the filling is made of polyurethane (Eurofoam). The upholstery is non-removable, with a limited choice of fabrics and no leather option.
Awards
The Element seating received the Furniture of the Year 2013 award from the Association of Czech Furniture Makers.
