Overview

METROSTONE is a cement-based resin system designed for indoor walls and flooring. It combines eco-friendly, breathable, abrasion-resistant cementitious resins with a water-based polyurethane finish. The system is non-yellowing and suitable for both new and existing surfaces.

System Components

• Primers: METROSTONE PRIMER (for existing floors/walls like ceramic), RESIN PRIMER (for new level concrete).
• Levelling Compound: METROSTONE LEVEL (self-levelling cement primer).
• Base Coat: METROSTONE CEM (applied in 1 or 2 coats depending on substrate).
• Waterproofing Finishes: METROSTONE GLOSS K and METROSTONE MATT K (two coats), or alternatively Resin Primer plus METROFLOOR MATT for enhanced durability and impermeability.
• Decorative Finishes: HOT METAL and GLAM paints for vintage wall effects.

Application Procedures

1. New, Perfectly Levelled Concrete Floors and Walls

1. Day 1: Apply 1 coat Resin Primer diluted 1:4 with water (0.130 l/m²).
2. After 4 hours: Apply 1 coat METROSTONE CEM (1 kg/m²).
3. Day 2: After 12 hours, apply second coat METROSTONE CEM with stainless steel trowel (1 kg/m²).
4. Day 5: After minimum 72 hours, apply 1 coat METROSTONE GLOSS K (0.14 kg/m²) then 1 coat METROSTONE MATT K (0.14 kg/m²). Alternatively, apply Resin Primer diluted 1:4 followed by 2 coats METROFLOOR MATT for superior wear resistance and waterproofing.

2. Existing Ceramic, Stone, or Hard Floors (excluding parquet, linoleum, carpet)

1. Day 1: Apply 1 coat METROSTONE PRIMER diluted 10% with water (0.130 l/m²).
2. After 4 hours: Apply 1 coat METROSTONE LEVEL embedding Armatex C1 fiberglass mesh; remove air bubbles with Klee roller (1.6 kg/m² per mm thickness).
3. Day 3: After 48 hours, apply 1 coat METROSTONE CEM (1 kg/m²).
4. Day 4: After 24 hours, apply 1 coat METROSTONE CEM smoothing surface (1 kg/m²).
5. Day 7: After minimum 72 hours, apply finishing coats as for new concrete system.

3. Damaged Concrete Substrates

Follow existing floor procedure but replace METROSTONE PRIMER with RESIN PRIMER diluted 1:4 during preparation.

4. New Levelled Concrete Walls

Follow new concrete floor system but omit second METROSTONE CEM coat.

5. Existing Walls (e.g., ceramic)

Follow existing floor system but only perform primer phase, then base coats and finishing phases.

Decorative Effects

For vintage Decapè effect on walls, create veining on last wet METROSTONE CEM coat using Woody Pad. After drying, glaze selected areas with Dalì Marine Sponge and decorative paints HOT METAL and GLAM.
