Lázaro Rosa-Violán has achieved something that just a few years ago would have seemed impossible: to revive and dignify the figure of decorator. And he has done it in a big way. His style has created a trend and his projects are spreading around the world in a spectacular way. However, so far no one had suggested he should produce and market his own designs. As a result we create a new category in the Metalarte catalogue under the name of Atelier. These are unique items that reflect the personality of their author, produced in small series, as in haute couture fashion, always with quality materials...

With artistic training and an early instinct for art, Lazaro Rosa-Violan, born in Tangier of Catalan parents and grandparents, took sat in at classes in the Academy of Fine Arts at the age of eight. Brought up in Bilbao, Madrid and Barcelona, he developed an early taste for the big houses and places he visited. Painter by training, traveller by conviction and interior designer by instinct, he finds inspiration everywhere. His style is all styles; his cultural background enables him to mix, modify and reinterpret past and present trends at his convenience with each new assignment.
