Maintenance
Polished brass requires regular maintenance to prevent oxidation, which can cause darkening or black spots. If untreated, brass will darken unevenly over time. Stainless steel, while resistant to stains, may dull or show fingerprints and should be polished with metal polish like 'Brasso' to remove tarnish. The frequency of maintenance depends on usage, location, and exposure to oxygen.
