Specifications
Eden clay pantiles are laid in a single lap with a fixed gauge of 270mm and a straight bond. The tiles are compatible with Marley’s mortar bedded security fixing kits and Universal dry fix accessories. The average linear coverage of the tile is 215mm.

Setting Out the Roof
When setting out tile courses from eaves to ridge, ensure the eaves course allows water discharge into the gutter with a minimum 50mm overhang if no gutter is present. The top course should achieve a minimum 75mm overlap of the ridge tile.

Fixing Guidance
Tiles should be nailed using a 45mm x 3.35mm aluminium nail and clipped with SoloFix. Eaves course tiles require double fixing with nails and eaves clips. A comb filler strip should be used to prevent bird or vermin ingress.

Cutting Tiles
Adjustments may be necessary at the ridge or eaves course. Avoid cutting tiles at the verge unless unavoidable, ensuring they are no less than half the width of a standard tile.

Bedded Verges and Ridges
Verges should be formed using left and right hand tiles, bedded onto a fibre reinforced cement strip. Ridges should be covered with 375mm clay half round ridge tiles, with a minimum 75mm cover over the top course.
