Product Characteristics & Benefits
The mageba TENSA®RAIL RSU expansion joints are designed for movements up to 350mm, featuring steel edge profiles and an elastomeric sealing. For larger movements, they include a drainage channel made of EPDM or stainless steel. The joints ensure a 100% waterproof system by connecting the bridge’s water insulation directly to the edge profiles. The edge profiles are permanently and fatigue-proof connected to the bridge superstructure using studs or loop anchorage. A cover plate protects the joint gap from dirt and ballast.

Range of Application
These expansion joints are suitable for metro or railway bridges, with or without ballast. Ballast can be placed directly on the joint or on an insulation mat provided by mageba. The TENSA®RAIL RSU has national approval in Austria according to RVS 15.04.51.
