RESTON®POT

Product catalog summary
Introduction
RESTON®POT bearings by mageba are designed to manage loads and movements between a structure's superstructure and substructure. They accommodate rotations and, where necessary, movements of the superstructure, suitable for various structures under different loading conditions.

Design and Components
These bearings consist of a steel pot with a lid and an elastomeric pad that behaves like a fluid under pressure, allowing rotations. Depending on the type, they can be fixed, guided sliding, or free sliding, accommodating different load and movement requirements. Key components include PTFE sliding surfaces and polished stainless steel sheets to minimize friction.

Types of Bearings
RESTON®POT bearings are categorized as TF (Fixed), TE (Guided sliding), and TA (Free sliding), each designed to handle specific movement and force requirements.

Materials
High-quality materials are used, including S355 steel, natural rubber elastomeric pads, POM sealing chains, certified PTFE, silicone grease, and austenitic stainless steel.

Installation and Anchoring
Proper handling during installation is crucial. Bearings are pre-assembled, and anchor dowels or plates are used for connection. The installation process involves precise positioning, fixing, and ensuring free movement post-installation.

Quality Assurance
mageba ensures quality through a certified ISO 9001:2008 system and regular independent checks. RESTON®POT bearings comply with EN 1337 standards and can be marked with CE or other national labels.

Optional Features and Special Solutions
Optional features include 3-point leveling surfaces and dust protection. Special solutions like RESTON®ILM and RESTON®POT LIFT-CONTROL offer additional functionalities for specific project needs.

Support and Offers
mageba provides quotations based on project requirements and offers expert support for selecting optimal solutions. Further information and resources are available on their website.

Structural bearings   Properties and installation Anchoring Depending on design, bearings are connected to the superstructure and substructure by means of anchor dowels or threaded sockets, or by anchor plates with shear studs. Anchor dowels are suitable for the transmission of horizontal forces in the case of guided sliding (TE) and fixed (TF) bearings. Threaded sockets are suitable for free sliding (TA) bearings without anchor plates. RESTON®POT bearings must be handled with proper care during unloading and installation. Sliding surfaces, movement indicators and corrosion protection are particularly...
