Product catalog summary
Introduction
The SMS series dampers are designed for use in air-conditioning, ventilation, and heating systems. They remain closed and open only when a pressure differential occurs.
Classification
The dampers are classified based on their mounting and blade orientation:
  • SMS: Wall mounting with blades parallel to L size for air extraction.
  • SVS: Wall mounting with blades parallel to H size for air extraction.
  • SMD: Wall mounting with blades parallel to L size for air intake.
  • SVD: Wall mounting with blades parallel to H size for air intake.
  • S...G: Duct mounting dampers.
Material and Finishes
The dampers feature an extruded aluminium frame with milled aluminium blades. Nylon bearings provide high abrasion resistance, and the blades have a polyester foam seal to reduce noise upon closing. The standard finish is raw aluminium, and the dampers are fixed in place with screws.
Fixing Systems
The SMS+ CS model includes a mounting frame made from galvanized steel, which includes a sidepiece for secure installation.
Performance Specifications
  • Recommended Velocity: Minimum velocity is 3 m/s.
  • Free Velocity, Pressure Loss, and Sound Power Level: Various performance metrics are provided for different velocities and free face areas, indicating the damper's efficiency and noise levels.
