SHEET PILING SYSTEMS

Macalloy TB460 and TB520 Systems
The TB460 system offers a yield stress of 460 N/mm², making it 30% stronger than S355 grade steel. It is available in diameters M42 to M105, with a maximum bar length of 11.80m. The TB520 system, with a yield stress of 520 N/mm², is 13% stronger than the TB460, allowing for smaller diameters to handle the same load. Both systems are weldable and designed to carry the full capacity of the bar.
Macalloy TB590 and TB700 Systems
The TB590 system has a yield stress of 590 N/mm², 28% stronger than the TB460, and is available in diameters M42 to M105 with a maximum bar length of 10m. The TB700 system, with a yield stress of 700 N/mm², is 52% stronger than the TB460. Both systems are designed to carry the full capacity of the bar.
Corrosion Protection
Macalloy offers several corrosion protection options, including painting, galvanizing, and wrapping with protective barriers like Denso tape. The Denso tape system is highly resistant to environmental factors and is commonly used in marine environments. Sacrificial protection is also an option, allowing for corrosion due to the superior mechanical properties of the steel.
Components and End Terminations
Macalloy provides various components such as plates, nuts, washers, and turnbuckles, designed to complement the TB460, TB520, TB590, and TB700 systems. These components ensure the full capacity of the bars is utilized.
Applications and Projects

Corrosion Protection Steel sheet piling is used in many aggressive environments and consequently factors affecting the life of the tie bar must be considered. Several options are available, including painting and galvanising, but the most common form is to wrap the bar with a protective barrier containing oxygen scavengers, such as the Denso range of products.
