Lyngard was co founded by Carmen Lyngard and Iain Pattinson in 2014. Carmens ceramic making ancestors passed on their knowledge to her through 6 generations of potters, dating back to 1829. The pair manufacture the lights in Stoke on Trent from start to finish. All their lighting is made from a superior fine bone china to give the body extra strength and durability. Today Lyngard draw their inspiration from the past, using decorative techniques that are unique to them. Hand-made and decorated with our unique true reduction fired lustres. A Specialist technique known by only a handful of experts worldwide. All Lyngard lights are designed by Carmen. The process starts with a hand-sculpted prototype in plaster from which the moulds can be taken from. Production can then begin in the Lyngard factory where the unique finishes are applied to the lights.
