In 1975 the skilled technician, Tommaso Cimini, was involved in electro-mechanical endeavors for prominent lighting companies in Northern Italy. Thanks to his creativity and background in mechanical engineering, he envisioned an easy-to-make, freely adjustable table lamp. Making the most of his manual skills and technical inventiveness, he developed the necessary models that led to the birth of Daphine.
