This layer diffuses harmful UV rays, and maintains resin clarity and impact properties. Use for any application where panels are exposed to UV light. A must for window treatments, light diffusers and fixtures. UV Cap is recommended any time a Lumicor panel will be installed in a location with UV exposure, such as near a window or under certain lighting conditions. BULB LIGHT Add UV Cap to keep resin looking clear for years. Some types of bulbs also emit UV light. Add UV Cap to protect resin. Illume™ can be used beneath UV Cap to create even light diffusion, perfect for lighting applications. Without protection from UV rays, panels yellow or become brittle over time. Sheets with UV Cap may be cut, formed and finished.
