OVERVIEW & SPECIFICATIONS Information › Add-Ons OPAQUE™ DESCRIPTION Opaque is a light-blocking layer that creates a fully opaque panel and comes in 13 neutral tones. Add Opaque to sheets when no light transmittance is desired, such as placing a panel against an unfinished substrate, or if there is a need for privacy. Appropriate for any application where complete opacity of the panel is desired. Use when placing against an unfinished substrate, for privacy panels, doors, partitions or any light-blocking application. AVAILABLE TONES Without Opaque, light shines through Lumicor panels easily. With Opaque, light is blocked. Opaque is usually added to the back side of the panel. Opaque is appropriate for all décors in every Lumicor collection. Choose from over 250 décors in an endless number of combinations. White, Cameo, Dove, Pepperdust and Latte Opaques can be used with any resin. All other tones are available on Lumiclear ™ and Lumishield EX ™ only. FINISHES & ADD-ONS A Satin finish is recommended for use with Opaque. Frost finish is not available. Opaque may be used with UV Block ™ or ChemShield ™. Opaque may be added to these sheet sizes: Birch White Misty Beige Eggshell Imperial White Tawny Misty Grey Antique White Opaque may be added to any available gauge of Lumicor panels, from 1/16" to 1" (1.5 mm - 24 mm) and adds panel thickness from .001"-.010". DIFFERENT THAN ILLUME? Opaque blocks most light and is appropriate for applications when placing a panel against an unfinished substrate or complete privacy is needed. If you are looking to create a soft glow or conceal bulbs or other fixtures, use Illume, which is semi-opaque and diffuses light.
