OVERVIEW & SPECIFICATIONS Information › Add-Ons Lumiguard is a layer of high-performance protective resin that can be fused to any Lumiclear™ panel to enhance chemical and bacterial resistance. Use for horizontal surface applications such as countertops, tabletops, bartops and desks. Lumiguard is also appropriate for vertical applications where the panel will come in contact with chemical agents. Lumiguard is highly recommended for all horizontal surface applications such as countertops and tables due to its anti-microbial properties and stain resistance. Lumiguard will withstand the rigors of daily cleaning and creates a fully renewable surface. Lumiguard protects against common staining agents, such as food, ink, and grease. A layer of Lumiguard is applied to one or both sides of the panel to add chemical, stain and abrasion resistance and anti-microbial protection. Décor: Crystal #2 Recycled Glass with Lumiguard Lumiguard is available for use with over 150 décors in an endless number of combinations. Lumiguard may be applied to one or both sides of Lumiclear ™. It is not available for use with Lumiform ™. FINISHES & ADD-ONS Panels with Lumiguard can have any of Lumicor’s standard finishes. If scratched or damaged, panels with Lumiguard can be refinished to a gloss or matte finish. Lumiguard may be added to the following sheet sizes: Lumiguard may be added to panels with 1/2" (12mm) gauge or higher. Sheets with Lumiguard may be cut, formed, and finished. Lumiguard is not applied to the edges so all edges must be sealed to protect from chemical exposure.
