THE ARCHITECTURAL PIXEL FOR MEDIA FACADES AND STRUCTURES Unlike string and mesh systems, which constrain designs in proportion, Lumendomes are suitable for large-scale custom applications and asymmetric formations. Available in three sizes – 2”, 4” and 6” – the Lumendome pixels use a diffuse, domed optic to form luminous structures and images that can...

In this example, Lumendome pixels are used to trace the outline of the Mount Royal Cross, an iconic monument that stands atop Montreal’s Mount Royal and overlooks the city. The cross is usually illuminated in white but the Lumendome system permits it to be changed to any color. Credits: Progemes Consultants
Open the catalog to page 3Media facades Low resolution screens LEDs have helped usher in new ways to merge architecture and media to create buildings that communicate after dark. Lumendome pixels can be integrated into interiors or facades to create lowresolution screens for displaying branded content and imagery. By day these pixels have a minimal presence and recede into the background. As darkness falls, they allow the building to take on an entirely new identity. Accentuating architecture Lumendomes can play a role in defining architectural structures by highlighting a building’s contours and form. In this example...
