The designer behind Ripls is Jakob Wagner. Jakob Wagner was born in Copenhagen in 1963, and over the years has been responsible for a wide range of recognised products spanning professional designs for the medical and sports worlds as well as products for the home. Ripls consists of a concave clear front with ripples like rings in water. The ripples break up the light, causing the lamp to change appearance depending on your angle of view. The concave shape intensifies the light towards the center, while it becomes less intense towards the edges. Deep within the lamp is a diffuser, which creates a sense of depth at the front. The sleek look makes Ripls appear like a floating disk, while the perforated housing cause the indirect light to form a halo around the lamp.

Design: Jakob Wagner Concept: The fixture emits diffused light. The front consist of a concave clear front with ripples like rings in water. The ripples refract light in the front creating a subtle change of appearance depending on viewing angle. The concave form outline the refracting creating a higher intensity light towards the center fading off toward the edges.
