We all know the saying and nowhere is this more true than in the construction of bespoke planters. Each job is an engineering challenge and some call on all the skills we have developed over many years to fulfil the designers brief while producing a product that not only looks good on day one, but for many years after. We have the capacity to take a project from the simplest of sketches to shop drawing stage, including, if required, 3D rendering. Our designers work with CAD and will often take the designers files and work them up into manufacturable products. This includes inputs from our in-house engineering team who will advise on how shapes and sizes can be achieved while maintaining the integrity of the planter once filled with soil. For this reason alone it is vital to work with an experienced company such as Livingreen Design on bespoke planter projects as our knowledge of the forces acting upon the planter walls and base will ensure a successful outcome. Over the years we have seen many examples of projects where the brief in terms of design has been fulfilled but where the planters subsequently bend, twist, distort and even fall apart as there has been no understanding of the construction standard required.

BESPOKE IS OUR SPECIALITY Manufacturing starts with the Tool - the original planter from which we make the mould - and where possible we make these in house in order to keep costs down. This also speeds up the manufacturing process as external toolmakers are notoriously slow as well as expensive. We are now able to construct complex curved shapes as well as more usual rectangular and square planter tools in our own workshops and are happy to advise clients on ways to keep costs lower by making refinements to the design without necessarily materially affecting the overall look of the finished...
