OTTO Primer 1105 UNIVERSAL PRIMER FOR ABSORBENT SURFACES Universal primer for improving bonding on mineral or absorbent materials (e.g. concrete, plaster, fiber cement, etc.). ADVANTAGES / FEATURES 0.11 qts. (100 ml) metal bottles (boxes with 15 pcs) Barrier for surface alkalinity Improvement of the bonding properties of grouts on mineral substrates (e.g. concrete, plaster, cellular concrete, fiber cement, gypsum), as well as on untreated wood and related finishes, on metal substrates (e.g. anodized aluminum) and on some plastics (e.g. PVC). The surfaces to be grouted or bonded must be perfectly clean, dry and free of dust, grease, oil and old paint. Cleaning non-porous surfaces: clean with OTTO Cleaner T (drying time about 1 minute) and a dry fiber-free cloth. Cleaning porous surfaces: clean the surfaces mechanically, e..g with a steel brush or a smoothing disc to remove loose particles. Apply the primer on the sides of the joint with a suitable brush. Apply evenly and thinly; the excess material forms a film that could compromise bonding. Apply the primer very carefully and avoid wetting the natural stone surface next to the sides of the joint to prevent the formation of stains. For structured or absorbent surfaces, allow for at least 30 minutes drying time. The waiting time between the application of the primer and the subsequent grouting can add up to several hours; avoid dust deposits. given the large number of factors which influence the treatment and the application of the product, the user should always perform a test treatment and application. • Spread the product at temperatures between 40°F and 95°F • In warm climates, keep the packaged product in a cool and dry place away from the sun before use • The primer has been created for adhesives and grouts to guarantee excellent adhesion in combination with the latter • Do not use the primer and cleanprimer beyond the joint edges and the bonding surfaces to avoid making them dirty or changing the appearance • For other groups of products, substrates or coverings which have not yet been mentioned, we suggest performing preliminary tests • The interaction and compatibility with the adhesives and grouts has been tested and approved by our technical help service • Do not use the product for applications not stated in this technical sheet • If in doubt, contact the Litokol S.p.A Technical Help Service.
