Litoside SELF-ADHESIVE BAND IN EXPANDED POLYETHYLENE FOR PERIMETER SEPARATION JOINTS. Gray expanded polyethylene band. ADVANTAGES / FEATURES • Totally non-absorbent of water • Retains its features unaltered over time • Compressible and elastic Suitable for the development of perimeter separation joints on interior and exterior floors before laying screeds. The substrates must be clean, solid, compact, crack-free, properly cured and without rising damp. It is recommended to pre-clean the surface with a vacuum cleaner having a suitably sized spout. Unroll the LITOSIDE band and lay it along the entire perimeter of the walls in the room, and on any elevations such as: columns, stairs, etc. The band must be attached to the walls, removing the white liner by applying slight pressure. Any vapor barrier made from polyethylene sheets or similar must be turned up on the Litoside bands for the entire thickness of the screed. After the installation of the floor covering (ceramic and porcelain tiles, natural stones, wood flooring, etc.), the band must be trimmed at the finished floor height. The perimeter joint will be subsequently covered by the skirting board or other coverings. • The size of the joints is defined according to the intended use of the tiled surface, its location and intended movements • If the perimeter separation joint needs to be thickened, it is possible to overlap two Litoside bands to obtain a thickness of 10 mm (0.39in) • Do not use the product for applications not stated in this technical sheet • If in doubt, contact the Litokol S.p.A Technical Help Service.
