The glass fibre mesh must always be embedded within the thickness of the waterproofing layer or skim coat, as follows: Apply a layer of waterproofing compound or skim coat approximately 1–1.5 mm thick directly onto the substrate using a smooth trowel Whilst the product is still fresh, apply the fibreglass mesh, pressing it down lightly until it is embedded in the applied layer of product.
