Litoband Tape SEALING TAPE FOR WATERPROOFING SYSTEMS FOR INTERIORS AND EXTERIORS. Sealing tape with double layer of polyester fabric and butyl center. For the perfect sealing of corners, special pre-shaped Litoband pieces are available for internal (IC) and external (EC) corners, made using the same material. ADVANTAGES / FEATURES • Suitable for use in severe operating conditions from -22°F to 194°F (from -30°C to +90°C) • Excellent chemical resistance against many aggressive chemicals (see table) • Usable with all types of waterproofing membranes such as Elastocem, Coverflex and Hidroflex Litoband Tape: 10 and 50 m (10.9 and 54.7yd) rolls Litoband Tape and pre-shaped IC and EC corners are used as reinforcing elements together with Elastocem, Coverflex and Hidroflex waterproofing membranes to seal corners in indoor and outdoor areas. Typical applications include: • Waterproofing of wall-to-wall and wall-to-floor corners in areas such as bathrooms, showers, etc. to be waterproofed with Elastocem, Coverflex and Hidroflex. • Waterproofing of expansion joints on balconies and terraces • Waterproofing of wall-to-wall and wall-to-floor corners in reinforced concrete tanks, swimming pools, fountains, etc. Apply the waterproofing membrane to the corners of the environments that need to be waterproofed, in a thickness of at least 1 mm (0.039in); then apply the Litoband SK Tape sealing tape and pre-shaped corners on the fabric side, using a trowel and applying firm pressure to prevent the formation of air bubbles or folds. Make sure that the waterproofing membrane has not formed a film on the surface preventing the tape's adhesion. In the case of joints, the Litoband Tape must be omega-folded so that it can absorb any tension. In this case, the waterproofing membrane must cover the sides of the tape. The Litoband tape must overlap any pre-shaped corners by a few centimeters (inches). After the first coat has dried, a second coat of waterproofing membrane must be applied to completely cover the Litoband elements. • For more details on waterproofing indoor and outdoor wet areas, refer to the instructions in the Litokol User catalog • Protect the waterproofing against rain for the first 24 hours after application • The product must not be visible upon completion.
