Litoband SK Net REINFORCING BAND FOR INTERIORS. Breathable tape with double layer of alkali-resistant polypropylene fabric. ADVANTAGES / FEATURES • Micropore reinforcing band • Certified according to ETAG 022 - part 1 together with Aquamaster for waterproofing of indoor wet areas • Ideal for the development of junctions and connections in SpazioContinuo decorative systems. Litoband SK Net is used in combination with the Aquamaster waterproofing membrane for sealing joints in indoor wet areas between panels in gypsum, fiber cement, wood, etc., as a reinforcing element. Aquamaster Apply the waterproofing membrane on the junctions between the panels in the area that needs to be waterproofed, creating a thickness of at least 1 mm (0.039in); then apply the Litoband SK Net sealing tape, pressing firmly with a trowel to prevent the formation of air bubbles or folds. Make sure that the waterproofing membrane has not formed a film on the surface preventing the tape's adhesion. In this case, the waterproofing membrane must completely cover the tape. Spaziocontinuo SINGLE COMPONENT SYSTEMS Apply the Litoband SK NET band (embedding it in the first coat of Rasante Parete EVO) in the following cases: - in the internal and external corners of walls and/or niches. - in the junctions between gypsum panels that have not been previously joined with self-adhesive mesh. - in the junctions between WEDI or Schlüter type lightweight panels if they have not been previously “reinforced”. For wall-to-wall applications, the Litoband SK NET reinforcing bands must be inserted on internal and external corners, embedded in the first coat of Rasante Parete EVO. The reinforcing band is inserted to prevent the development of cracks on the surface of the resin covering once it has set, caused by structural movements or vibrations. TWO-COMPONENT and THREE-COMPONENT SYSTEMS Sealing of joints During application of the first coat of Multifondo EVO, the static joints can be sealed at the same time: - insert the Litogap expanded polyethylene tubing inside the joint (positioning it at a depth no less than the width of the joint itself). - fill the joint with Multifondo EVO. - apply the Litoband SK NET micropore reinforcing band near the joint, taking care to embed it in the leveling layer created with Multifondo EVO. Joints between panels Check that the joints between the panels have been previously reinforced with the application of self-adhesive mesh tape (if the joints are not reinforced, they will need to be reinforced by inserting Litoband SK NET inside the Multifondo EVO). Wall/floor joints If you want to give the resinous coating continuity from the floor to the wall or in the case of adjacent walls or in the presence of elevations from the laying surface such as stairs, ornamental structures, etc., it is necessary to insert the Waterproofing systems
