Waterproofing and Tiling Procedures
To waterproof an area, apply at least 1 mm of gel using a smooth trowel. After the gel sets (approximately 6 hours), use a notched trowel to lay ceramic tiles.
Marble and Natural Stone
Unstable marble or natural stone that may deform or stain requires high-performance epoxy gels like PowerGel® Pro, FastGel® Pro, or PowerGel® Pro Max (R2T – EN 12004). Consult Litokol’s Technical Customer Service for guidance or testing.
Heated Floors
After laying X-Floor® or X-Floor® Pro screed, start the heating system with water temperatures between +20°C and +25°C for 3 days, then increase to the maximum design temperature for 4 days before returning to room temperature to lay the covering (EN 1264-4).
Swimming Pools
Design pool tiling considering mechanical, thermo-hygrometric, and chemical stresses. Ensure correct concrete composition (UNI 11104 – EN 206) and curing time (minimum 6 months, UNI 11493 - 7.3.1). Waterproof using SafetyGel® or HydroPad® range products. For metal structures, use PowerGel® Pro Max. Conduct a water-tightness test before cladding installation.
Facades
For external walls (H>3 m), consult Litokol’s Technical Customer Service for safe installation techniques. Follow UNI 11493 – 7.13.7 guidelines, ensuring substrate tensile strength of ≥ 1.0 N/mm². Use mechanical safety fixings for cladding with side length > 30 cm.
Grouting, Sealing, and Maintenance
Use X-Color® grouts for decorative purposes and Starlike® epoxy gels for waterproof joints. Use Pixel 3D sealants for elastic sealing. For cleaning and maintenance, use Litokol detergents from the X-Cleaner and Starlike® Care ranges.
Warnings
Wash tools and remove product residue with water before the gel sets. Once hardened, removal is mechanical.
Safety Information
Refer to the latest Safety Data Sheet on www.litokol.com for safe product use.
Legal Notices
The guidelines are based on experience but do not bind the company. Conduct preliminary tests to verify product suitability.

FastGel® Pro-1

FastGel® Pro Technical Specifications A science-based, high-performance epoxy gel with permanent elasticity, crack prevention and accelerated curing: Fluidotixo® - C5, designed to securely bond tiles, porcelain stoneware, extra-large slabs, marble and natural stone – including unstable varieties – of any size to any substrate, even at very low temperatures. Product description High-strength epoxy gel with permanent anti-fracture elasticity and accelerated cross-linking for securely bonding porcelain stoneware, slabs, mosaics, marble and natural stone to any substrate, even at very low temperatures. Designed for rapid monolithic bonding of any material to any substrate, ensuring the highest level of application safety. Thanks to state-of-the-art features, the mixture is extremely creamy, freeflowing and thixotropic, retaining its shape and thickness on both floors and walls. FastGel® Pro is engineered for the installation of large-format tiles and slabs of any type and size in high-traffic areas, even on cracked substrates (up to 2 mm) and those that are not perfectly dry (residual moisture <5%). The epoxy gel helps to dissipate and neutralise substrate movements and tile expansion, and distributes heavy loads evenly without causing stress. The innovative gelation-based bonding technology ensures stable and secure installation directly onto single- or two-component polymer and polymer-cement membranes without triggering corrosive chemical reactions that could compromise the integrity of the adhesive/waterproofing system. It ensures rapid, monolithic structural bonding, with cross-linking even at very low temperatures (down to -5°C), and is designed for winter projects and applications subject to high stresses, such as balconies, terraces, swimming pools and façades, allowing direct application onto difficult substrates such as wood, metal, PVC and fibreglass, where the use of cementitious adhesives is not suitable. Classified as R2T – EN 12004 Technical Speci

In any case, it is essential to consult the relevant technical data sheets to ensure the correct use of the products indicated. To fully appreciate the superior flow and thixotropy of the innovative Epoxy Gel compound, we recommend mixing the product using the specified mixing ratio. Cut a corner of the sachet containing the polymer catalyst (Part B) and pour it into the container holding Part A. It is recommended to pour out the entire contents of the catalyst, gradually rolling and squeezing the sachet from the sealed end towards the cut end. Polymerisation begins when the epoxy component is...
