Introduction
Breathe™ is a natural fibre insulation product made from UK-grown hemp and flax. It is designed for use in new and existing buildings, including lofts, framed buildings, and inter-floor applications. The product is environmentally friendly, with a low carbon footprint, and offers thermal efficiency comparable to conventional materials.

Composition and Production
Breathe™ consists of 47.5% hemp, 47.5% flax, and 5% polyester binder. The fibres are mechanically separated from the plant's woody core without chemicals, generating no waste. The woody core is repurposed for other materials like Tradical® Hemcrete®. The fibres are treated to meet UK fire performance standards, achieving a Euroclass E rating.

Performance and Benefits
Breathe™ provides low thermal conductivity and thermal mass, insulating against cold and heat. It can absorb and release moisture without degrading, reducing humidity and preventing condensation. The product is easy to handle, durable, and compostable at the end of its life.

Breathe™ is available in batts of 1,200mm x 575mm and 1,200mm x 375mm, with thicknesses of 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, and 150mm. Custom sizes are available upon request.

Applications
Breathe™ is suitable for various insulation applications, including timber frame loft insulation, rafter insulation, suspended ground floor insulation, and intermediate floor insulation. It can be used in conjunction with vapour control layers and internal linings for optimal performance.
