BY LASSEN by Lassen owns the rights to the designs of two of Denmark's greatest architects: Mogens Lassen and Flemming Lassen. The Lassen brothers were innovators in architectural modernism and produced numerous iconic designs throughout their lives. Our simple mission is to build upon the tradition of Mogens and Flemming Lassen to ensure that exceptional original and rediscovered designs continue to live on through new generations. In 1975, Mogens Lassen designed the Conekt Table with the same minimalistic and clean style found throughout much of his work. The Conekt Table was finally put into production at the beginning of 2017 and immediately became a classic in the by Lassen collection. Inspired by the Conekt Table, by Lassen now introduces the Conekt Bench, designed with the same stringent design aesthetic, precision and attention to detail. With its timeless design, the Conekt Bench sets the stage in the hallway and establishes it as an important part of the home. It is ideal to use when putting on shoes, and it adds clean lines and quality to the hallway, which is often a passageway with multiple functions gathered in one place. A cushion and suspended backrest in fabric and leather are launched as an extension to the Conekt Bench to create a softer silhouette, enhance comfort and allow you to personalize the furniture. The design of the separate backrest is based on an old Mogens Lassen sketch of a daybed and is mounted on the wall using hanging leather straps with round interchangeable metal fittings. The bench's seat and frame are connected by custom-made metal brackets designed to the smallest detail, creating an eye-catching feature that gives the minimalist design an outstanding character. The bench's square wooden frame is attached with precision on both sides and creates a slim silhouette that provides a light and timeless look. Conekt Bench is a functional piece of design furniture that can be used in various rooms, for instance in the bedroom or spacious bathroom, in the hallway or reception areas and waiting rooms - wherever you need to sit down for a short period of time. Conekt Bench is crafted from black lacquered ash wood with metal fittings in black, steel or brass. It is available in stores from the end of the September 2017 and at bylassen.dk at the beginning of September 2017.
