This was possible thanks to our cooperation with Perpetual Machines of Dalton/USA who made the mixer and the applicator, and Dow Chemical Europe who supplied the chemicals. These two companies possess vast experience in the field of PU secondary coating, especially in the United States. Ninety percent of the synthetic turf produced in the USA is coated with polyurethane, a non-wet process. Due to the innovative concept of the process, we took a great deal of care during installation and start up. Now, after extensive industrial testing we are ready to launch the product. The results of this testing have yielded a pile retention that is significantly better.(*) Especially for monofilament fibers, which is well known across the industry that the tuft lock can vary. Dimensional stability is better than with other compound backings. On top of these advantages, PU offers important ecological benefits compared with conventional coating materials.
