Since 1977 Lanik has been providing the structural industry with technological novelties and geometric options never used before in the sector. It wasn't however long before we started combining conventional metallic assemblies with laminated wood and space structures, the benefits of which were used to full advantage by our R&D Department in developing an engineering system named PARPADO (EYELID) based on a singular space structure for retractable roofs. Two of Lanik's most widely used techniques, the well known ORTZ and SEO systems, have their own patents. They are assembled on the basis...

Lanik's Engineering Department bases the comprehensive design of its space structures on the essential guidelines provided by the architect or engineer. It begins by tracing different types of geometry until achieving the perfect structure. It then goes on to analyse this structure under different hypothetical loads with the purpose of establishing the dimension of the components that will actually give the construction its shape. Lastly, it completes the study by drawing up a detailed definition of the mechanical and geometric characteristics of all of the elements comprising the space...

The last stage of the process is assembly, to do which Lanik has its own team. Complete documentation for the job, plans and lists of material, are all put together by computer based on the data obtained from the design and production stages. To ensure correct development of this process, we analyse each and every one of the assembling circumstances in which an element could be subject to a critical situation. We therefore make the corresponding calculations and verifications for the parts making up the construction before raising or incorporating them
