Great source of inspiration for the Neapolitan and Vietrese ceramic makers was given by the Eastern and Islamic cultures. The ceramics production in Vietri had the undeniable advantage to get inspiration from the immense and prestigious figurative patrimony like the Greek-Roman one, especially after the first discoveries during the Pompeii excavations at the end of the 1700’s.
