Vigorous sages and seducing glazes, square or round shapes : this is LA RIGGIOLA, a company founded by Luisa Martorelli to introduce the ancient ceramics tradition from Vietri sul Mare, a small center on the Amal Coast in the sunny South of Italy. The centuries-old tradition in the ceramics handicraft, the “Vietri System”, is in Italy a concept that already existed and became appreciated since the end of the 1700. The ceramics production in Vietri had the undeniable advantage to get inspiration from the immense and prestigious gurative patrimony like the Greek-Roman one, especially after the rst discoveries during the Pompeii excavations at the end of the 1700’s.
