Selection Tables
Tables provide quick selection based on discharge velocity, throw, and static pressure for various grille sizes. The tables assume a temperature gradient of 10°C between supply and room air, with adjustments needed for different arrangements.

Overview
The maximum throw is the distance from the grille center to a point where residual velocity is 0.25 m/sec, while the minimum throw is 40% of the maximum. Installation on visible ducts reduces throw by 15-20% and increases drop by 5-15%.

Applications
For wall applications, discharge velocity should not exceed 1.5 m/sec in heating. Ceiling applications have recommended velocities based on the type of space, ranging from 2.5 m/sec for studios to 10 m/sec for industrial buildings. Grilles in free space should have a throw reaching between 3/4 and the total distance to the nearest wall.

Example of Grille Selection
For a free space office of 48x24 m2 with a ceiling height of 2.7 m and a total flow of 10,000 m3/h, eight 4-way grilles are recommended, each supplying 1,250 m3/h. For limited space, a 600 x 250 mm grille is suitable for 500 m3/h, ensuring the throw does not exceed the sum of distances to the wall and ceiling.

Curvilinear Blade Supply Air Grilles Description The Series 26 curved blade grilles are especially designed for providing any type of discharge: from the absolute horizontal airstream to the complete vertical airstream, regardless of whether they are ceiling or wall mounted. The grilles can be used in cooling as well as heating systems, given the great discharge airstream control flexibility of their blades. The data listed in the selection tables have been determined using arrangement (a) as a baseline (refer to page 3). For other arrangements, apply the correction factors in Table 1. Applications Wall applications In heating operation, it is recommended that the discharge velocity does not exceed 1.5 m/sec. In cooling operation, the maximum throws must be equal or greater than the distance from the grille to the ceiling. Free space: The grille is considered to be located in a free space when the maximum throw is reached at a point between 3/4 and the total distance to the nearest wall.
