Description and Product Code
The Koolair model EM measurement stations are designed to measure air volume. The EMC model features a circular casing with diameters ranging from 80 to 630 mm, while the EMQ model has a rectangular casing with dimensions specified as LxH mm. Both models include a cross-shaped probe in the inlet duct to measure differential pressure, which varies with air volume. The casing is made from galvanized sheet metal, and the tubes are aluminum. These stations can be installed vertically or horizontally and conform to class C classification for casing leakage according to EN 1751.
Installation
For accurate flow measurement, specific distances must be respected during installation, which is independent of airflow direction. The hydraulic diameter is calculated using the formula Dh = 2*(LxH) / (L+H).
Flow Measurement
The airflow is determined from the differential pressure sensor value using the formula Q = C • √Pd, where Q is the airflow in m3/h, C is the conversion coefficient, and Pd is the differential pressure in Pa. The accuracy of the flow rate measurement is within ± 5%. Manometers can be supplied upon request.
