KEY MMA QUARTZ SLT FLOORING DESCRIPTION KEY MMA QUARTZ SLT FLOORING is a 100% reactive, rapidly curing methyl methacrylate (MMA) flooring system. This highly decorative system is composed of 100% MMA resin, decorative colored quartz aggregate and clear, UV resistant MMA top coats. Installed thickness is 1/8” to 1/4” or greater depending on intended service and project requirements. Textured non-skid finish. VOC compliant. Indoor and outdoor applications. Cures over wide temperature range. Good chemical resistance. Meets USDA requirements. Available with Bioclean antimicrobial additive if needed. Concrete must be dry, free of dirt, waxes, curing agents and other foreign materials. o Do not store outside in direct sunlight, storage temperature must be < 80 F. On or below grade installation must have an efficient vapor barrier under the slab (minimum 10-15 mil). Moisture vapor transmission must be less than 3 pounds per ASTM-F-1869 and less than 80% RH per ASTM F-2170. Excessive moisture requires a moisture vapor control system, consult with Key Resin. Colors will not fade or wear thin. SURFACE PREPARATION Surface preparation is the most critical portion of any successful resinous flooring system. All substrates must be properly prepared as outlined in Key Resin Company’s Technical Bulletin #1. Work must be performed by trained or experienced contractors or maintenance personnel. MIXING AND INSTALLATION KEY MMA QUARTZ SLT FLOORING is composed of a primer, self-leveling bodycoat with decorative quartz broadcast and clear, UV resistant top coats. KEY MMA 9112 primer resin, when properly catalyzed, is spread with a notched squeegee and back rolled at approximately 100 sq. ft./gallon. Substrates that are very porous may require an additional primer application. The body coat is composed of one gallon of Key MMA 9418 resin; 20 lbs. of Key Self-Leveling Filler, pigment, and Key MMA 9000 Hardener. STORAGE Store in a cool and dry place, below 80oF, out of direct sunlight. Do not store near open flame or food. Shelf life is 6 months in the original unopened containers.
