Technical Bulletin Kestrel Exterior Cill Range This technical bulletin will guide you through the selection and use of Kestrel's range of PVC-U cills. It gives guidance on cill selection, explains cill terminology and details important installation requirements. Guidance on Cill Selection Cill Size Determined by the position of the cill in the opening. It is recommended that cills overhang by a minimum of 25mm. Platform The platform size is determined by the outlet position of the window drainage slot and back leg details on the rear of the profile. Note: Cill size should NOT be selected purely on the outer frame front to back dimension. Material Cills are available in 100% virgin material or recycled core with a co-extruded virgin skin. Welded Cills manufactured from 100% virgin material produce high quality joints which are not easily seen.
