Product catalog summary
Product Overview:
Kent Tactile Warning Studs (Multi Groove) are designed to provide an underfoot warning to identify hazards and dangerous areas, such as changes in levels or unprotected openings like open stairwells and platforms. These studs are made from Grade 316L stainless steel with a satin finish, making them suitable for high-traffic pedestrian areas due to their slip-resistant design.
Specifications:
  • Material: Grade 316L Stainless Steel
  • Finish: Satin, 320 Grit Polished
  • Design: Flat Domed & Multi Grooved
Features:
  • Provides underfoot warning for hazard identification
  • Easy installation
  • Slip-resistant design
Installation Procedure:
  1. Drill a 0.59” (15mm) diameter hole 1.18” (30mm) deep.
  2. Clean out the drilled hole.
  3. Fill with chemical mortar (recommended: MIT-SE Mortar).
  4. Insert stud and allow to set for 24 hours.
Maintenance Guidelines:
The studs require maintenance to retain their bright appearance, especially in coastal areas. Clean using warm water with mild detergent and a non-abrasive cloth. For heavier stains, use a nylon-scouring pad or stainless steel cleaner. Rust spots can be treated with Rust Remover 410, and severe stains may require Oxalic Acid solution. Stainless steel polishes can enhance the surface finish.
