Product catalog summary
Introduction
KeeGuard is a guardrail system by Kee Safety designed for permanent edge protection without penetrating roofing membranes, preventing water damage and noise disturbances.
Unique Systems
The system uses a cantilever principle for strength, suitable for various roof types, including warm deck and inverted flat roofs, and adaptable for industrial cladded pitched roofs with KeeGuard Topfix.
Durability
Components are galvanized to BS EN ISO 1461 and ASTM A53 standards, ensuring a maintenance-free system. Stainless steel locking screws are used, and products are available in aluminum.
Component-Based Systems
The system uses galvanized or aluminum tubing connected via the KEE KLAMP method, with base feet connected to recycled PVC counterweights for stability.
Versatility
KeeGuard systems can fit various roof shapes and sizes, including circular designs, and accommodate changes in levels and roof details like ductwork and cable trays.
Membrane Protection
Rubber matting and sacrificial pads protect the roof membrane, with pedestrian tiles recommended for warm deck roofs.
Testing & Certification
The system is tested to EN 13374 Class A, EN ISO 14122 Part 3, NF E85-003, EN 1991-1-4, and BS 6399 Part 2 for wind load compliance.
Official Documentation
Complies with Work at Height Regulations, HSG 33, HSE Construction Sheet No. 21, and EU Directives.
Aesthetics
The system can be powder-coated for enhanced aesthetics, with options for discreet protection using raked, radiused, or folding versions.
Distribution
Available for supply and installation or as components through Kee Safety or licensed distributors.
Industrial Cladded Roofs
KeeGuard Topfix is designed for metal profile and standing seam roofs up to 45°.
Product Specifications
Complies with EN 13374, EN 14122-3, NF E85-003, and North American standards. Uses steel tubing, galvanized components, and recycled PVC counterweights.
Layout and Installation
Guardrail height is set at 1100mm, with vertical supports at maximum 3m centers. Wind loading is calculated to ensure compliance with relevant standards.

KeeGuard System Overview MEMBRANE PROTECTION SYSTEMS Each system is installed with rubber matting bonded to the underside of metal components which come into contact with the roof membrane. In some cases the counter weight and base foot have sacrificial pads placed between the edge protection components and the roof membrane. This protects the roof membrane from damage via heat transfer or direct contact with components. On warm deck roof construction specifications pedestrian tiles are recommended to be placed where base feet and counter weights are in contact with the roof membrane. Where KeeGuard...
