The String rug is a woven chenille rug made from 100% wool, designed by Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg. It is a modern interpretation of the traditional Swedish chenille rug, featuring a lustrous surface reminiscent of old-fashioned yarn and a texture similar to soft corduroy. The rug combines two types of yarn—smooth hair yarn and fluffy chenille yarn—to create distinct depth variations forming sharp stripes.

Dimensions and Sizes

• Standard widths: Approximately 90, 140, 170, 200, 250, and 350 cm.
• Special widths: Approximately 70 to 600 cm.
• Length: Customizable to any length.
• Note: Due to manufacturing processes, dimensions may vary by ±5%.

Color Options

The rug’s chenille yarn colors are provided in the product leaflet, while hair yarn colors can be selected from the Häggå and Arkad collections. Available chenille yarn colors include beige (806-8006), white (805-8005), light natural grey (506-5006), natural grey (505-5005), black (501-5001), brown (709-7009), red (103-1003), and light green (308-3008).

Care and Maintenance

• Contact Kasthall for detailed care and washing instructions.
• Rugs should be placed on an underlay to prevent slipping and to extend the rug’s lifespan.
• Backing is recommended for rugs wider than 200 cm and/or larger than 6 square meters to stabilize dimensions and increase durability.

• All Kasthall rugs are made from natural materials; therefore, color and texture variations may occur between different yarn batches and dye lots.
• Using a rug underlay improves safety by reducing slip risk and enhances the rug’s longevity.
