Metallon DS - 1

Technical Data Sheet 11/15 Metallon DS Exterior and interior Base and Top Coat General Description Type of material: Water-based special coating for metal surfaces with and without micaceous iron ore effect. Thick coat metal protection paint for priming, intermediate and final coats on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, galvanized steel components and non-anodized aluminium. Excellent adhesion on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Double acting corrosion protection through inclusion of special anticorrosive pigments and fillers. Scale-shaped fillers prevent fast diffusion and active pigments slow down the start of corrosion on metal surfaces. The thixotropy provides very high dry film thickness on vertical surfaces and on edges. This protective property creates a surface with more or less structure when used on larger surfaces, depending on the application process and conditions. As Metallon DS is equipped with block-resistant binders, windows and doors made of iron, wood and non-ferrous metals may also be coated. With micaceous iron ore: DB 701, DB 702 (ca. RAL 9007), DB 703, DB 704, RAL 9006 and weathered copper Without micaceous iron ore: white, RAL 9005, RAL 6005 Packaging sizes: Technical Data Binder base: acrylate polymer dispersion 1,100– 1,330 g/cm³ depending on shade Tinting colours: with lightfast Tint Concentrate to max 3 % Jansen Additive S max. 5 % for improved processing on larger surfaces and also at higher temperatures. Do not dilute Metallon DS with water as this would require 5 times more water, extremely reducing the dry layer and seriously impairing rust protection.
