Product catalog summary
Product Overview: JACKODUR® perimeter adhesive foam is a solvent-free, single-component polyurethane adhesive designed for secure bonding of thermal insulation. It is suitable for perimeter insulation on basement retaining walls, floor slabs, inverted roofs, and base insulation. The product is applied using an adapter tube or installation gun and sets through moisture reaction.
Key Benefits:
  • Ensures secure bonding of JACKODUR® thermal insulation.
  • Seals joints and recesses without leaving thermal bridges.
  • Exhibits excellent adhesion on various substrates.
  • Comes with an adapter hose for easy application.
Technical Specifications:
  • Thermal conductivity: 0.0354 W/(m·K).
  • Fire behavior: Euroclass E according to DIN EN 13501-1.
  • Temperature resistance: -40°C to +90°C.
  • Bonding strength on bitumen: up to 0.22 N/mm².
  • Curing time: approximately 30 minutes for a 30 mm adhesive bead.
  • Tack-free time: approximately 8 minutes for a 30 mm adhesive bead.
  • Cuttable after approximately 40 minutes for a 30 mm adhesive bead.
  • Full load-bearing capability: approximately 12 hours for a 30 mm adhesive bead.
  • Coverage: approximately 16 m² per 750 ml can.
  • Processing temperature: -5°C to +35°C.
  • Shelf life: 12 months.
  • Storage: Cool and dry conditions (+5°C to +25°C).
Application Instructions: Ensure surfaces are clean and free of dust and grease. Attach the can to the glue gun or adapter hose, shake well, and apply the adhesive in beads spaced at 25-cm intervals. Press insulation boards into place within 8 minutes. For larger cavities, apply foam in layers up to 4 cm thick, moistening between layers. Trim excess adhesive with a sharp knife after curing.
Limitations: Not suitable for fixing insulation boards subject to water pressure or for use with thermal insulation composite systems. Does not adhere to PE, PP, PTFE, or silicones. Backfilling must be completed within 14 days when used on basement retaining walls.
