Product catalog summary
Introduction
The document outlines the technical specifications and applications of JACKODUR fine tolerance boards made from extruded polystyrene foam (XPS). These boards are used in various industries, including automotive, furniture, and construction, due to their versatility and high-tech properties.
Specifications
  • Measurements: Thickness ranges from 8 to 120 mm, length from 1000 to 3050 mm, and width from 460 to 1200 mm, depending on thickness.
  • Tolerances: Thickness tolerance is ±0.15 mm, length ±5 mm, and width varies based on size.
  • Mechanical Properties: Compressive strength is ≥200 kPa for thickness ≤29 mm and ≥300 kPa for thickness >29 mm. Tensile strength is ≥600 kPa, and compressive modulus ranges from 10 to 45 N/mm².
  • Density: Greater than 30 kg/m³.
Characteristic Values
  • Thermal Conductivity: Varies with thickness, from 0.034 to 0.037 W/(m.K).
  • Working Temperature: Ranges from -50°C to +75°C.
  • Fire Reaction: Classified as B1 under DIN 4102-1 and Euroclass E under EN 13501-1.
  • Water Absorption: Long-term absorption by total immersion is ≤1.0 Vol-%.
  • Dimensional Stability: Under 70°C and 90% humidity or 40kPa load, stability is ≤5%.
Chemical Resistance
The XPS boards are resistant to water, seawater, salt solutions, alcohols, liquefied inorganic gases, bases, weak and diluted acids, bitumen, lime, cement, gypsum, and sand.
Properties of XPS
The material is homogeneous, pressure-resistant, elastic, hydrophobic, non-rotting, non-aging, and not ultraviolet-consistent. It can be machined using milling cutters, saws, and heated filaments.
Treatment and Adhesion
XPS can be cut using shaping, sawing, hot-wire, and shearing techniques. Adhesion is possible with hotmelt, epoxy, and polyurethane solution adhesives without solvents.
