Chandelier 266-6 “Madonna” The Brass Family This chandelier is a very elaborate design from the Neo-Gothic period. Then it was very popular for churches as it features religious motives. Main feature of this item is the large Madonna statue on the central column holding the infant Christ. On the arms it also bears the typical crude floral ornaments. Despite this crudeness the chandelier breathes an air of lightness and delicacy through its slender design and the shiny surface. Commonly a light antique finish is applied to blend into classical architecture.
