Product Data Sheet Application: Separating Walls RD PARTY WALL ROLL Acoustic insulation for separating masonry walls RD Party Wall Roll is a cost effective acoustic insulation used to reduce the passage of sound across a masonry party wall and minimise the air movement within the cavity, improving its thermal performance. Available in 75mm, 100mm, 125mm and 150mm thicknesses, the strong, resilient and flexible rolls are ready-cut to 2 x 455mm to fit between standard wall tie spacing. When used as part of Robust Detail separating wall constructions E-WM-17, E-WM-20 & E-WM-24, RD Party Wall Roll can achieve +5dB over acoustic performance requirements set out in Building Regulations Approved Document E (England & Wales). Can achieve a zero U-value for party walls, as defined in Building Regulations (Approved Document L1A, Table 3), when fully filling the party wall cavity and in combination with mineral woolfilled cavity barriers at the edges of the cavity. Robust Detail compliant Saves time and cost Proprietary component of three Robust Detail constructions (E-WM-17, E-WM-20 & E-WM-24) and conforms to the generic full-fill mineral wool specification. When used as part of a Robust Detail construction, it removes the need for costly pre-completion sound testing, making it a more cost effective solution to implement.
