Technical Datasheet TOPCOAT-PU 740 is a one-component, transparent, aliphatic polyurethane coating. Based on hydrophobic polyurethane resins, it features excellent mechanical, chemical, thermal and weather resistance. Forms a UV-stable, waterproof membrane while offering the following advantages: Hardness according to SHORE D: Adhesion: (EN 1542) Artificial weathering: (EN 1062-11, after 2000 h) Pass (no blistering, cracking or flaking) • Simple application (one-component product). • A glossy and easy-to-clean surface. • Resistance to frost. • Maintenance of its mechanical properties over a temperature span of -40oC to +90oC. TOPCOAT-PU 740 can be used as a sealing and protective coating for concrete, screed, wood, stone, industrial floorings, stamped concrete, microcement coatings, interior decorative epoxy floorings, etc. prepolymer Color: transparent (at +230C) Properties of the cured membrane Elongation at break: > 50% Service temperature: from -400C to +900 1. Substrate preparation The substrate must be completely dry, clean, free of grease, loose particles, dust, etc. 2. Application Before application, it is recommended to gently stir TOPCOAT-PU 740, until it becomes homogeneous. Excessive stirring should be avoided in order to prevent air entrapment within its mass. TOPCOAT-PU 740 is applied by brush, roller or spray in two layers. The second layer should be applied crosswise after 4-24 hours, depending on the weather conditions. Consumption: approximately 0.12-0.25 kg/m2, depending on the substrate. Tools should be cleaned with SM-16 solvent and while TOPCOAT-PU 740 is still fresh. TOPCOAT-PU 740 is supplied in 0.75 kg, 4 kg and 20 kg metal containers. 9 months in original, unopened containers in frost-free and dry conditions.

Remarks • TOPCOAT-PU 740 is not suitable for contact with chemically treated water used in swimming pools. • TOPCOAT-PU 740 can be colored with suitable pigment pastes. Please consult the Technical Support Department. • Temperature during application and hardening should range between +50C and +350C. • Unsealed containers should be used as soon as they are opened and cannot be restored.
