Technical Leaflet Directions for use Polyurethane, two-component primer that creates the proper conditions for the adhesion of ISOFLEX-PU polyurethane, brushable, waterproofing membranes. It penetrates and anchors into the pores of the substrate, stabilizing it, while acting as a bonding layer with ISOFLEX-PU membranes. Ideal for substrates with high moisture contents, in order to avoid problems with ISOFLEX-PU membrane. Also suitable for interior use, as it is solvent-free, thus odorless. PRIMER-PU 140 is used as a primer, to ensure the adhesion of IsOfLEX-PU membranes to absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces, such as concrete, cement mortar, metal, wood, old waterproofing layers, bituminous substrates, etc. Form: polyurethane, two- component resin Color: brown 1. Substrate preparation The substrate to be primed has to be free of loose materials, dust, oil, pollutants, etc. 2. Application Components A (resin) and B (hardener) are packed in two separate containers, at the correct predetermined mixing ratio by weight. The whole quantity of component B is added into component A and the two components are mixed for about 2-3 minutes with a low-speed mixer (300 rpm). It is important to stir the mixture thoroughly near the sides and bottom of the container, to achieve uniform dispersion of the hardener. It is recommended to let the mixture rest for a few minutes before the application, so that the entrapped air may escape. PRIMER-PU 140 is applied with a roller or brush in one layer. In order to make the use easier, reduce consumption and increase workability time, it may be thinned 5-10% by weight, only with SM-16 solvent. Thinning is also recommended in case of application on dry, non-porous concrete. It should not be diluted though, when applied on wet substrates. Mixing ratio (A:B): 60:40 by weight Pot life: 15-20 min (+23oC) Successive layer: • At +23oC: after approx. 3 h • At +0oC: after approx. 8 h • At -10oC: after approx. 20 h Tools should be cleaned with SM-16 special solvent, while PRIMER-PU 140 is still fresh. 100-200 g/m2, depending on the substrate absorptivity. It should not be applied at a consumption> 200 g/m2.

It may be temporarily stored at low temperatures (down to -10oC), provided that the package will be gradually heated up to +23oC, before use. Remarks Temperature during the application and hardening of the product should be between -10ºC and +35ºC. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) According to the Directive 2004/42/CE (Annex II, table A), the maximum allowed VOC content for the product subcategory j, type SB is 500 g/l (2010) for the ready-to-use product.
