Technical Leaflet ISOMAT SUPERGRUND is an adhesion primer made of synthetic resins and quartz sand. It is applied on smooth and nonabsorbent substrates. • Water-based and thus suitable for interior use, as it is almost odorless. • Ready to use. • Dries quickly. • Shows high coverage/hiding power. • Suitable for substrates with in-floor heating. ISOMAT SUPERGRUND is used as a ready-to-use primer for roughening the substrate surface, in order to enhance the adhesion of the tile adhesive that is going to be applied. It is also used as a primer of the decorative cement mortars DUROCRET DECO. DUROCRET DECO FLEX, DUROCRET DECO FINISH & ISOMAT ACRYL DECO decorative coating. It is applied on plenty of smooth and nonabsorbent substrates, such as old tiles, marble, natural stone, cement-based industrial floorings, wooden, metal or PVC floorings, tarpaulin (linoleum), as well as anhydride and magnesium screeds. 2. Application Before use, the content of the container should be well stirred until the mixture becomes homogeneous. In case of nonabsorbent substrates, ISOMAT SUPERGRUND is poured directly from the container onto the substrate and spread by roller or brush in one thin layer. If after applying the first coating, the surface has not been completely covered with the material, then a second layer should be applied, after the first one has dried. The adhesive may be applied one hour after priming at +20°C. In case of absorbent substrates, ISOMAT SUPERGRUND is diluted with pure water at a ratio of up to 1:1, depending on the substrate absorptivity. ISOMAT SUPERGRUND may then be uniformly applied on the substrate by roller or brush. The adhesive can be applied after the primer has dried. DUROCRET DECO, DUROCRET DECO FLEX, DUROCRET DECO FINISH layers and ISOMAT ACRYL DECO decorative coating may be applied after the first 24 hours and as long as the primer has completely dried. 100-200 g/m2, depending on the substrate absorptivity. Substrate preparation The substrate to be primed has to be dry and completely free of dust, oil, pollutants etc. 12 months from production date, if stored in original unopened packaging, at temperatures between +50C and +350C. Protect from direct sun exposure and frost.

Remarks  Temperature during the application should be between +5ºC and +30ºC.  The primer should be totally dry before applying the next layer. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) According to the Directive 2004/42/CE (Annex II, table A), the maximum allowed VOC content for the product subcategory h, type WB is 30 g/l (2010) for the ready-to-use product.
