Product catalog summary
Description
ISOMAT AG 80-2K is a transparent, two-component polyurethane varnish designed to protect surfaces from graffiti and environmental pollutants. It forms a waterproof membrane that prevents graffiti paint from penetrating the substrate, facilitating easy cleaning. The varnish is UV-resistant, non-yellowing, and offers excellent mechanical and chemical resistance, as well as durability against aging and weather conditions.

Fields of Application
This product is suitable for use on concrete, plaster, stone, metal, marble, wood, and similar surfaces. It is ideal for protecting building facades, statues, monuments, and metal signs from graffiti and environmental impurities.

Technical Data
  • Product Properties: Two-component polyurethane resin, transparent and glossy, with a density of 1.00 kg/l and viscosity of 200 mPa·sec at 23ºC. Mixing ratio is 100:30 by weight, with a pot life of 1.5 hours at 23ºC.
  • Membrane Properties: Tensile strength of 38 N/mm², water impermeability at 5 atm, capillary water absorption of 0.02 kg/m²·h0.5, adhesion to concrete at 2.9 N/mm², and passes artificial aging tests.

Directions for Use
  1. Substrate Preparation: Ensure the substrate is dry and free from dust, grease, and stains. Clean existing graffiti with hot water or ISOMAT GRAFFITI REMOVER.
  2. Application: Mix components A and B thoroughly. Apply with a roller, brush, or spray in two layers, allowing the second layer to be applied within 24 hours of the first. Clean tools with SM-16 solvent while the product is fresh.

Consumption and Packaging
Consumption ranges from 70-120 g/m² per layer, depending on substrate absorptivity. Available in 1 kg and 5 kg containers.

Shelf-life/Storage
24 months from production date if stored in original sealed packaging, protected from moisture and direct sunlight, at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C.

Remarks
Ensure surfaces are dry before application. Apply at temperatures between +8ºC and +35ºC. Avoid application if rain is expected within 48 hours or if temperatures are below +8ºC.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC)
The product complies with Directive 2004/42/CE, containing a maximum of 500 g/l VOC.

Technical Leaflet ISOMAT AG 80-2Κ Transparent varnish for protecting surfaces from graffiti Description ISOMAT AG 80-2K is a transparent, twocomponent, polyurethane varnish, used for the protection of surfaces from graffiti and environmental pollutants. It forms a membrane which does not allow the graffiti paint (spray, markers) to penetrate into the substrate and thus makes cleaning easy. The membrane formed is waterproof, unaffected by UV radiation, does not turn yellow and offers very good mechanical and chemical resistance. It also shows great resistance to aging and weather conditions. Fields of application ISOMAT AG 80-2K is applied on surfaces made of concrete, plaster, stone, metal, marble, wood etc., in order to protect them from graffiti or environmental impurities. It also enables removing posters from them. It is ideal for building facades, statues, monuments, metal signs, etc. Technical data 1. Properties of the product in liquid form two-component, polyurethane resin transparent, glossy Mixing ratio (A:B): Pot life: Tensile strength: (ASTM D412) Water impermeability: 5 atm (DIN 1048-5) Capillary water absorption: 0.02 kg/m2·h0.5 (ΕΝ 1062-3) Adhesion to concrete: 2.9 Ν/mm2 (EN 1542) Artificial aging: (ΕΝ 1062-11, after 2000h) Pass (no blistering, cracking or detachment) Directions for use 1. Substrate preparation The substrate must be dry and free from dust, grease, old stains, etc. A surface that is already covered with graffiti can be cleaned with hot water under pressure or the special cleaning agent ISOMAT GRAFFITI REMOVER. 2. Application Components A (resin) and B (hardener) are packed in two separate containers, at a predetermined mixing ratio by weight. The whole quantity of Component B is thoroughly mixed with the whole quantity of Component A with a low-speed mixer (300 rpm) for about 23 minutes. It is important to stir the mixture thoroughly near the sides and bottom of the container, to achieve uniform dispersion of the hardener. After mixing, it is recommended to let the mixture rest for a few minutes before the application, in order to help the entrapped air escape. ISOMAT AG 80-2K is applied with a roller, brush or by spraying in two layers. The second layer may be applied within 24 hours from the first one, depending on the weather conditions. Tools are cleaned with the special solvent SM-16, while ISOMAT AG 80-2K is still fresh. The surface that has been treated with ISOMAT AG 80-2K may be easily cleaned with the special cleaner ISOMAT GRAFFITI R
